While Cathedral Parish School students were on summer break in 2008, A.D. Davis Construction Corp. completed a total renovation of eight classrooms, 12,000 sq ft, and built a new 2,000 sq ft kindergarten building in only 41 days in St. Augustine’s historic district. A.D. Davis renovated eight classrooms top to bottom, including installation of new drywall, ceilings, lighting, cabinetry, flooring, and classroom doors. Upgrades to the existing ductwork and HVAC systems made classrooms quieter and saves the school money on utilities. The classrooms and hallways got a fresh coat of paint and restrooms received new fixtures, flooring and paint. Campus safety also got a boost with a new school-wide fire alarm system. At the same time, A.D. Davis constructed a 2,000 sq ft classroom building to house the school’s kindergarten classes, allowing them to move from St. Agnes Church on Sebastian Street.
