St. Johns County Council on Aging - Riverhouse
"Riverhouse" is designed to meet functionality as a daily Senior Center and double as a rental space for receptions, weddings, meetings, concerts ect. The "Riverhouse" has 10,176 sf of usable interior space, 1,509 sf of covered terrace overlooking the beautiful Matanzas River in downtown St. Augustine, a large lawn on the water in the rear as well as a 1,235 sf full service kitchen.
The interior boasts a multi-purpose grand ballroom decorated to be a formal period ballroom with coffered ceilings, custom wood trim details, and a circular wooden dance floor with a domed ceiling. The Ballroom doubles as a full service dining room and looks out over the Matanzas River through many large windows. The library features custom book shelves, decorate columns, wood trim features, a fireplace and furnishings that make the library feel like home. The library, conservatory and the conference room all have views of the Matanzas River also. There are also two large classrooms and several administrative offices.
The full service kitchen allows for food service at any function, but most importantly is the home of the Riverhouse Café a quaint little restaurant providing service through the Council on Aging, whether you take out, or eat in the ballroom or on one of the terraces it is worth a try.
The terraces allow patrons of the "Riverhouse" and Riverhouse Café to sit outside and enjoy the views of the water…
