The Council on Aging contracted with A.D. Davis Construction to build an outdoor deck with a special purpose – to provide an open-air area for Sunshine Center patients with memory loss, brain trama or Alzheimers.
“We are so appreciative to Mike Davis for understanding our needs here at the Sunshine Center,” said Paulette Kozlowski, Sunshine Center Manager. “As promised, our deck is not just beautiful but is multi-functional as well. It is large enough to encourage dancing and exercise and has two swinging gates for easy access to our nature garden and walking paths. All of these features will help to increase the amount of sunshine, fresh air and outdoor activities our Sunshine Center participants will enjoy.”
A.D. Davis completed the project in only 3 weeks, giving this special population a new outdoor space to enjoy just in time for spring. In 2010, A.D. Davis completed construction of the COA River House. The company’s work on River House earned a Horizon Award from the Associated General Contractors of America, Greater Florida chapter.
