As families mature and lifestyles change, homeowners often find themselves in need of more or different space. That was the case with the Mas family. The family took their existing garage and expanded it and redesigned the space to accommodate their growing interest in motorcycles and cars. The upstairs addition was remodeled as a recreation room for the older children. An 18-foot wide garage door was installed. Flooring of the garage was upgraded and the interior was designed to be more of a workshop or showroom. The exterior of the remodel was designed to match the home. Many of A.D. Davis’ clients, whether they are building a new home or remodeling an existing home, are using their garage areas for recreation. The trend is toward oversized garage space, larger doors, custom interiors that provide more storage options and interiors that are more like indoor spaces than outdoor areas.
